12 teams from Russia, Holland, Finland, New Zealand and the Republic of Korea participated in the Festival in Khabarovsk
VLADIVOSTOK, January 30, vladivostoktimes.com The marine composition by the Primorye ice artists won the first prize in the International Festival "Icy Fantasy" that was held in Khabarovsk. As RIA PrimaMedia was informed in the press center of the Territory Government, Igor OMELIANENKO and Sergey KOZLOV from Lesozavoidsk (Primorsky Territory) won the first prize in the International Festival; their composition "Wind Howl and Sea Expanse" was the best. The composition "Autumn – Winter" by Denis ABDULIN and Maxim USENKO from Khabarovsk took the second place. Edis Maria Van D’WETERING and William Frederic STIZHGER, the artists from Holland were awarded with the third prize for the composition "Giving the Dream." In quick tournament Denis ABDULIN and Maxim USENKO from Khabarovsk were the winners, CHO SUNG TAI and KIM DONG HEON (the Republic of Korea) took the second place, Sergey MATAPHONOV and Aleksey DUVBANOV from Vanino (Khabarovsk Territory) were the last among the top three. Maxim KOROL and Polina TIKHONOVA, the students of Pacific State University, became the winners of the youth contest; they presented the composition "Gentleman." The composition "Pearl Diver" by Eugeniy PETESHEV and Cyril TASHLANOV (FESHU) was awarded with the second prize and Sergey GENERALOV and Victoria SNEGIREVA (FESHU) took the third place with their composition "Expected Result." The VIII International Festival "Icy Fantasy" was organized by the Khabarovsk Territory Government and held on January 23-26 in Khabarovsk. 12 teams from Russia, Holland, Finland, New Zealand and the Republic of Korea participated in the Festival. It included two stages: the quick tournament when the participants had to make a sculpture from block of ice measuring 1 х 1.5 х 0.4 meters in 80 minutes and the master contest where the block of ice was bigger - 2 х 2 х 0.4 meters. Besides, the youth contest was held in the framework of the Festival; 6 teams from the Universities and vocational schools of the Khabarovsk Territory took part in it. The winners were awarded with the medals, cups and presents. Maxim KOROL and Polina TIKHONOVA, the winners of the youth contest, will pay visit to Dalian (PRC) among the other young representatives of the Khabarovsk Territory delegation.
