The standard method of finding the slow magnetosonic point in a magnetically influenced accretion disc wind flow is examined. This method uses the condition of vanishing effective gravity along the poloidal magnetic field, and corresponds to the merging of the slow magnetosonic and sonic points. The fundamental problem in accretion disc theory is to explain how angular momentum can be continuously removed from orbiting material, to allow it to spiral into the central object. Although this leads to a plausible disc structure solution, an instability to generate the necessary turbulence has never been found in a non-magnetic Keplerian disc. Such turbulent generation was subsequently confirmed by many authors e. Brandenburg et al. The presence of turbulence and radial shear can lead to the generation of a large-scale magnetic field via a self-sustaining dynamo. They showed that a wind flow emanating from the disc surfaces, and channelled by a suitable magnetic field, can remove a large amount of angular momentum per unit mass.

A case study of sustainable urban living. Sustainability means living a life which meets your own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Newcastle-Upon Tyne is a large city in the North of England which has an unsustainable past. This city of over thousand people was a centre for heavy industry, ship building, coal mining and armaments works — all activities which can pose environmental problems.
However, Modern Newcastle is restyling itself as a science city and a city whose economy is based upon information services and quaternary industries.
Relaxed nicely done out place with a good bar but also food on a par with Artisan, Vivo, Broad Chare etc. With a child in our group we wanted to eat early-ish before it got too busy so booked for pm. I have had the lunch menu before and was very impressed so was looking forward to it. Sadly the menu was a big disappointment. It was their “all day menu” and contained for mains only an expensive steak, fish and chips, a burger, or a slightly more interesting bit of salmon on sauerkraut.
The sharing boards and starters were more appealing and on reflection I wish we’d just got a mix of those and skipped the mains entirely. The food itself was decent, the service was friendly and at a relaxed pace which I like but it wasn’t quite the NYE treat I had hoped for. Maybe PTMY know their market and this is what people want but I thought from my previous visit here and with David Kennedy at the helm they were aiming for something a bit better than pub grub.

Once you’ve met up, it’s time to take things slowly. Senior dating isn’t a race to get into a relationship. You should look forward to getting to know someone new.

The food is not bad if not a liitle expensive. The coffee is good as well. But the pace of service is diabolical and the staff just dont seem to be bothered. Although thats probably because they are chasing their tails at lunchtime.

Against a backdrop of strikes and continuing economic hardship across Spain, the author travels alone by rail and bus, encountering the vibrant heritage of the regions, including a singing Gypsy by an ancient well in remote, unspoilt Extremadura, the creativity and resilience of a gourmet beggar in the big city of Zaragoza and a lone disabled pilgrim going home from the Camino de Santiago after quitting the road.

Newcastle was part of the county of Northumberland until , when it became a county of itself , a status it retained until becoming part of Tyne and Wear in Newcastle is member of the North of Tyne Combined Authority. The city developed around the Roman settlement Pons Aelius and was named after the castle built in by Robert Curthose , William the Conqueror ‘s eldest son.
The city grew as an important centre for the wool trade in the 14th century, and later became a major coal mining area. The port developed in the 16th century and, along with the shipyards lower down the River Tyne , was amongst the world’s largest shipbuilding and ship-repairing centres. Among its icons are Newcastle United football club and the Tyne Bridge. Since the city has hosted the Great North Run , a half marathon which attracts over 57, runners each year.
The first recorded settlement in what is now Newcastle was Pons Aelius ” Hadrian ‘s bridge” , a Roman fort and bridge across the River Tyne. This rare honour suggests Hadrian may have visited the site and instituted the bridge on his tour of Britain. The population of Pons Aelius then is estimated at 2, The course of the “Roman Wall” can be traced eastwards to the Segedunum Roman fort in Wallsend —the “wall’s end”—and to the supply fort Arbeia in South Shields.
